Public Health is recruiting for multiple Public Health Nurse opportunities across the province. This is a pooling posting and your application will be matched with an open vacancy once all internal qualified applicants are exhausted.
Signing bonuses may be available up to $5,000 plus up to $5000 for relocation expenses (Return of Service Agreements required).
The Public Health Nurse (PHN) is an essential member of an inter-disciplinary, collaborative Public Health team responsible for the delivery of programs and services according to NS Public Health Standards and Protocols. The PHN demonstrates a holistic understanding of individuals and communities that enables them to inform content, development, implementation, and assessment of the impacts of policies and/or programs. Public Health Nurses deliver programs and services to individuals focused on addressing health inequities with the broader intent of improving the population’s health.
Reporting to the Public Health Manager, the PHN works in collaboration with others to address local population health needs by planning, implementing, and evaluating public health policies, programs, and services through actions based on the principles of population health, health promotion, and disease prevention.

$43.57 - $54.12 Hourly
$56.01 Hourly with 25 years Nursing experience
