  Schéma d’emploi

Le travailleur social/La travailleuse sociale I fournit un service de qualité aux clients en assurant la prestation de services sociaux professionnels. Il/elle fournit des conseils, effectue des évaluations et fournit des services d’orientation. Il/elle gère également les dossiers et remplit des documents.

Ce poste est placé sous la responsabilité du/de la consultant(e) en pratique professionnelle pour les services sociaux en ce qui concerne les questions d’intégrité et de pratique professionnelles

Exigences du poste

En postulant à cet emploi, vous reconnaissez et comprenez qu’il implique les exigences et besoins habituels suivants (liste non exhaustive) :

Soulever ou porter, à l’occasion, des objets pesant jusqu’à 4,5 kg (10 livres).

S’asseoir régulièrement pour mener des consultations avec les clients, mener des séances thérapeutiques et travailler sur ordinateur.

Travailler occasionnellement dans des positions inconfortables ou dans des endroits exigus; pousser, tirer et installer des meubles pour les travaux de groupe, et conduire pour effectuer des visites au domicile des clients.

Effectuer régulièrement du travail requérant précision et doigté sur un ordinateur.

Un baccalauréat accrédité en service social est requis.

L’admissibilité à l’inscription et au maintien de l’inscription auprès du Newfoundland and Labrador College of Workers (NLCSW) est exigée.

Connaissance de la législation pertinente, entre autres : Mental Health Care and Treatment Act, Adult Protection Act, Advanced Health Care Directives Act, Loi canadienne sur l’aide médicale à mourir et Children, Youth and Families Act.

Connaissance des ressources, systèmes et programmes communautaires.

Capacité avérée à diriger, superviser et encadrer des étudiants.

Compétences cliniques avérées en matière d’évaluation et d’intervention auprès d’individus, de familles et de groupes.

Aptitude avérée à l’analyse, à la réflexion critique, à la résolution de problèmes, à la prise de décision et à l’organisation.

Compétences solides et avérées en matière de communication écrite et orale, et capacité à faire/animer des présentations efficaces.

Capacité avérée à travailler efficacement dans un environnement interprofessionnel et à établir et maintenir des relations de travail efficaces.

Capacité avérée à travailler de manière indépendante
Des résultats professionnels satisfaisants sont exigés.

Job Summary

The Social Worker I provides quality service to clients through the delivery of professional social work services. The Social Worker I provides counselling, completes assessment and provides referral services. The Social Worker also manages caseloads and completes documentation.

The position maintains accountability to the Professional Practice Consultant for Social Work for professional integrity and practice issues.

Occasionally, there is lifting or physical strength required to lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs.
Regularly sits to consult with clients, conduct therapeutic sessions, and to work on the computer.
Occasionally works in awkward or cramped body positions; pushes, pulls, and sets up furniture for group work, and drives to conduct home visits with clients.
Regularly uses fine finger/precision work on a computer.

Graduation with an accredited Bachelor of Social Work Degree is required.
Eligibility for registration and continuing registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Workers (NLCSW) is required.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, including but not limited to, Mental Health Care and Treatment Act, Adult Protection Act, Advanced Health Care Directives Act, Medical Assistance in Dying, and the Children, Youth and Families Act.
Knowledge of community resources, systems and programs.
Demonstrated ability to direct, supervise and mentor students.
Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment and interventions with individuals, families and groups.
Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to deliver/facilitate effective presentations.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional environment, and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Demonstrated ability to work independently
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
