International Sales Manager

We are a Canadian Controlled Private Corporation, owned by the fishers of Southern Labrador and is a premier global supplier of high-quality seafood, dedicated to sustainable sourcing and delivering the finest products to clients around the world. We are a vertically integrated seafood company with over five hundred employees and one hundred crew members on our fixed and mobile gear vessels. The Company has plants in five communities in Southern Labrador and has always focused on quality production combined with good working conditions. We are one of Newfoundland and Labrador's leading seafood producers and in 2022 were recognized by the industry and awarded the 'Turning the Tide, Marine Industry Award for Industry Leadership and Excellence.

We are currently seeking an experienced International Seafood Sales Manager to join our team and contribute to our continued expansion into new and existing international markets.

The international Seafood Sales Manager will report directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing, and be responsible for the following :

  • Driving sales of our seafood products in international markets, building relationships with distributors, retailers and wholesalers while overseeing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Develop and execute a global sales strategy to expand our seafood product footprint across multiple regions.
  • Negotiate pricing, sales contracts, and terms of sale ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify new market opportunities and monitor trends in the global seafood industry to stay ahead of competitors.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, sustainability certifications and other regulations.
  • Represent the company at international trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing, COO and/or CEO.

Looking for a highly motivated candidate who:

  • Is a Team player who works well with both their superiors, colleagues, customers, and has a strong understanding of global seafood markets, industry trends and buyer preferences.
  • Proven ability to manage sales expectations, close deals and achieve revenue targets.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Reliable and hard working.
  • Shows respect for everyone in the workforce

 Training and Experience :

  • Post-secondary education in sales and marketing.
  • Experience in International Sales with a focus on seafood or perishable goods
