Hatchery Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Hatchery Supervisor at our Hatchery in Stephenville, NL.

In the Hatchery Supervisor role you will assist management in producing a top quality juvenile Atlantic salmon in a safe cost-effective manner. You will assist to maintain a large R.A.S hatchery operation that provides a safe, ethical, and positive work environment for staff that meets or exceeds company standards in the areas of environmental sustainability and health & safety.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Relevant aquaculture or biology related post-secondary education or certificate is an asset
• Demonstrated skills and experience in providing leadership to a teamGood critical thinking abilities, decision-making abilities and sound judgment
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines for production
• Ability to report accurately, keep detailed records and manage documents 
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good computer skills (e.g. Aquafarmer, word processing, spreadsheets & databases)
• Physically capable to handle material up to 25kg and work in various types of environments
• Willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the job as needed

Wage: $28.00-$31.00 per hour depending on qualifications
