The Role:
Reporting to the Harvest Vessel Captain, the duties of this job requires the use of harvest vessel equipment and an understanding of proper fish handling to successfully offload fish from the vessel to the plant without compromising quality. Harvest Deckhands perform general maintenance work so that the deck is clean, safe and operational; however, this position would be required to oversee the engine room and gear aboard the vessel.
The successful candidates must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Marine Emergency Duties (MED) certificate as well as a valid passport and be able to enter into the United States. A willingness to travel and work flexible work are a requirement of this position. Preference will be given to applicants with harvest vessel experience.
