JOB SUMMARY 

Under the direction of the Manager, Arctic Oil & Gas (AOGS) and Mamaqtuq, the Restaurant Supervisor plays a key role in executing high-quality events and managing daily operations, including cash closure, alcohol inventory, and other financial procedures. This position is critical in leading staff through training, managing customer relations, and overseeing operational activities to ensure an exceptional guest experience.  

The Restaurant Supervisor must be a dynamic, hands-on leader who is also an organized thinker, capable of managing a complex environment. Responsibilities include participating in the selection, supervision, and support of staff, and clearly communicating goals, processes, and policies. The role also involves addressing day-to-day challenges and promoting staff development to foster a positive workplace culture.  

We are seeking a candidate with strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the local culture and community is essential for building authentic connections with both the team and customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

Applicants must be/have:

  • Proven experience in catering or event management.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and adeptness with social media platforms.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Holder of a Permanent Residency Confirmation or Open Work Permit
