JOB SUMMARY  

Mamaqtuq Kitchen is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team.

 As a Line Cook, your key responsibilities include setting up and stocking stations, preparing ingredients, and cooking menu items collaboratively with the kitchen staff. Following instructions from executive or sous chefs, you will ensure the simultaneous, high-quality, and timely delivery of dishes. Maintaining cleanliness, handling leftover food responsibly, and managing inventory are integral to your role. Adherence to nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards is paramount, all while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor with both coworkers and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS  

Applicants must be/have:

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant culinary position.
  • Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling required
  • Ability to lift up to 50lb
  • Effective communication skills
  • Highly effective teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Flexibility to work daytime shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Be holder of a Permanent Residency Confirmation or Open Work Permit
