JOB SUMMARY

 As a Chef at Arctic Oil & Gas Camp, you will be responsible to create and implement rotational menu that meets the dietary requirements of the camp workers. Your responsibilities will include preparing nutritious meals, supervising kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen and preparation areas. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing grocery orders, within budget, minimizing wastage, and maintaining onsite food inventory. Participation in meetings and training sessions, as well as adherence to all safety protocols, will also be essential aspects of this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Applicants must be/have:

  • Previous experience working as a Chef in a remote camp or similar environment is preferred.
  • Certification or training in food safety and safe food handling practices.
  • Strong culinary skills and the ability to prepare meals for large groups of camp workers.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a positive safety culture.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and schedules.
  • Be holder of a Permanent Residency Cnfirmation or an open work permit
