Summary of Role

Globex Management has a culture that inspires our RITE values; Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Entrepreneurship. The duties for an Accounting Associate role vary greatly. As a mid-level role in the accounting division, applicants could be performing a variety of accounting duties across functional divisions, depending on their experience and the size of the structure of the National Accounting Team. Not all of the duties listed below will be assigned at all times, and other duties may be assigned at any time.

Impact & Influence on Guests, Associates and Business

  • Perform cash duties, including daily bank deposits and daily uploads, as required 
  • Perform duties related to payroll, including data entry, weekly payroll processing, reporting, etc
  • Perform duties related to purchasing as required.
  • Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable duties as required.
  • Perform duties related to month-end close, including bank reconciliations and other ledger reconciliations.
  • Complete statistical surveys and audits as required.
  • Follow up with all client inquiries in a timely fashion and laisse with or forward to applicable department. 
  • Record recurring and significant errors made by non-accounting associates as per company policy. 
  • Assist with balancing of daily revenues and payments (daily income journal). 
  • Balance guest ledger, advance deposit ledger, and accounts receivable ledgers.
  • Assist with duties that are critical to the preparation of the monthly financial reporting.
  • Support all department managers regarding their expenses, providing information as requested.
  • Assist with year-end audit. 
  • Maintain accounting standards with established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and coordinate client’s needs to other associates/departments.
  • Identify and resolve all client concerns/complaints to their satisfaction.
  • Perform other operational duties as assigned, including inventory counts, to assist the properties

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • 2 years of accounting and/or cash experience, preferably with a hospitality background.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office365 (especially Excel) including SharePoint. 
  • General property management system knowledge.
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy
