SK Contracting Ltd. is a freight and moving company based in Fort Smith, NT. We are committed to providing efficient and reliable transportation services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate company-owned trucks to transport goods and freight to various destinations safely and on time.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and ensure trucks are in good working condition.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securement.
  • Maintain accurate records, including delivery logs, fuel usage, and hours of service (HOS).
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
  • Comply with all traffic and safety regulations, as well as company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license (or appropriate provincial equivalent).
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial truck driving (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform minor repairs if needed.
  • Proficiency with electronic logging systems (ELDs) and GPS navigation.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Physical ability to load/unload and secure freight as required.
