We are looking to hire a housekeeping supervisor to oversee all duties performed by our housekeeping staff. The housekeeping supervisor’s responsibilities include assigning tasks to the housekeeping staff and ensuring cleanliness standards are met.
To be successful as a housekeeping supervisor, you should be able to implement strategies to improve the functioning of the housekeeping department. Ultimately, an exceptional housekeeping supervisor should have excellent management skills, strong attention to detail and be able to ensure that housekeeping operations run efficiently.
•Manage and coordinate a team of Room Attendants, House Person's, Public Spaces Attendants, Pool Attendants, and Laundry Attendants.
•Be a hands on/visible leader to support laundry & housekeeping staff in their duties to ensure all common areas and rooms meet our resort guest standards.
•Display a positive attitude, maintain enthusiasm, and celebrate success within a lively department environment.
•Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment and uniforms.
•Supervise and co-ordinate in-house laundry services.
•Assist management to establish and implement operational procedures for housekeeping department.
•Co-ordinate inspection of assigned areas and guest rooms as per standard.
•Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met.
•Assign duties of housekeeping staff.
•Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out.
•Respond to complaints of guests in line with a luxury hotel environment.
•Liaise with maintenance team members on a regular basis to ensure upkeep of the property is maintained as well as housekeeping and laundry equipment.
•Assist Front Office to oversee any emergency situations that may take place during the shift.
•Train, supervises, motivates and coaches attendants, in addition to maintaining daily operations manual and expectations with consistency and fairness.
