Cleaning Duties:
• Supervise and participate in the thorough cleaning of all company proprieties, restaurant areas, storage spaces, including the dining room, kitchen, restrooms, kitchen and exterior spaces as well staff housing.
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces, kitchen equipment, and other areas as required by health and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and dishwashers.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Maintenance Duties:
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on kitchen equipment, lighting, plumbing, and other facility components.
• Address minor repairs promptly to avoid operational disruptions.
• Report significant maintenance issues to the management team and coordinate with external service providers as needed.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies, and reorder items as necessary.
Supervisory Duties:
• Schedule and manage the performance of the night cleaning team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on proper cleaning and maintenance techniques.
• Conduct nightly inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and maintenance protocols.
• Collaborate with the management team to implement and improve cleaning and maintenance procedures.
Compliance and Safety:
• Adhere to and enforce all health and safety regulations, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.
• Primarily works during late-night and early-morning hours.
• May encounter wet or slippery floors and heavy cleaning chemicals.
Qualifications:
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial cleaning or maintenance, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Previous supervisory experience is a strong asset.
Skills:
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and basic troubleshooting for equipment.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining cleaning machinery.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work overnight shifts.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks that require standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
